Kforce is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a prominent service client in Saint Petersburg, FL. This hybrid role involves collaborating with the CEO and COO to drive financial clarity, discipline, and insight. Key responsibilities include leading accounting and financial reporting, ensuring balance-sheet integrity, overseeing treasury management, developing financial forecasting, conducting profitability analysis, supporting financial systems evolution, leading a finance team, implementing process improvements, and owning the annual audit process.
Must Have
- Lead accounting, financial reporting, and close processes across multiple legal entities and currencies.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements.
- Maintain balance-sheet integrity (cash, AR/AP, payroll, intercompany accounts).
- Oversee treasury management, cash forecasting, and liquidity planning.
- Develop and enhance integrated financial forecasting and margin analysis.
- Ensure profitability analysis at client and campaign levels.
- Support financial systems evolution, including ERP transition.
- Lead and develop accounting and finance professionals.
- Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Own the annual audit process and support lender reporting.
- 15+ years of experience, with recent CFO tenure in a service business ($50 - 250M revenue).
- Senior-level accounting experience in complex, multi-entity environments.
- Hands-on ownership of monthly close, balance sheet management, and audit processes.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Excellent treasury/cash management experience.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance teams.
- Experience interacting with auditors and lenders.
- Proven ability to strengthen financial processes and reporting infrastructure.

This pivotal role involves collaboration with the CEO and COO to drive financial clarity, discipline, and insight across the organization. This is a hybrid role based in the greater Tampa/St. Pete region. Now, let's dive into the key responsibilities:
- Leadership in Accounting and Financial Reporting: You will lead all accounting, financial reporting, and close processes across multiple legal entities and currencies, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Balance-Sheet Integrity: Maintain ownership of balance-sheet integrity, including cash, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and intercompany accounts, with timely account reconciliations
- Treasury Management: Oversee treasury management, cash forecasting, and liquidity planning while managing relationships with banking partners
- Financial Forecasting and Analysis: Develop and enhance integrated financial forecasting, strengthen activity-based costing, margin analysis, and provide variance analysis
- Profitability Analysis: Ensure profitability analysis at the client and campaign level, providing insights into pricing and staffing
- Financial Systems Evolution: Support the evolution of financial systems and infrastructure, including transitioning from QuickBooks to a new ERP system
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals, offering guidance and setting performance expectations
- Process Improvement: Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls, identifying gaps and inefficiencies
- Audit Process Ownership: Own the annual audit process and support lender reporting requirements
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience, with recent tenure as a CFO in a service business, preferably with revenues in the $50 - 250 million range
- Senior-level accounting experience in a complex, multi-entity environment; International experience is a plus
- Demonstrated hands-on ownership of monthly close, balance sheet management, and audit processes
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; Familiarity with IFRS is a plus
- Excellent track record of treasury/cash management experience
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance teams
- Experience interacting with auditors and lenders
- Proven ability to strengthen financial processes and reporting infrastructure

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
